Background

Bitcoin 2 introduces masternodes to Bitcoin and switches to a Proof-of-Stake model in an attempt to improve on Bitcoin’s scalability and on-chain transaction privacy. According to the project’s website, Bitcoin 2 was born because Bitcoin “can sometimes be more expensive than wire transfers” and “the transactions are also trackable.”
