Background
PumaPay in an open-source project that enables new billing methodologies to improve upon existing methods such as credit cards or other cryptocurrencies.It uses a PullPayment protocol that reduces transaction fees and reduce the insecurity of chargebacks. PumaPay was built to provide opportunities for third party applications to build additional services to contribute to the ecosystem such as credit facilities, insurance, escrow, and dispute arbitration. In order to incentivize merchant adoption, early adopters are rewarded with PumaPay tokens. The token is a modified version of ERC-20, that hopes to be the base layer means of payment for global transactions. Over 40 companies have signed up as partners to allow customers to use the PumaPay token as payment.
