Golden Ratio Multiplier

Bitcoin

The Golden Ratio Multiplier draws a fan of bands above the 350-day moving average, each band a Fibonacci multiple of it.

Why it matters

It reads cycle extremes in terms of how far price has stretched from its own medium-term trend, rather than against a fixed dollar level that ages badly.

How it is built

The 350-day moving average multiplied by 1.6, 2, 3, 5, 8, 13 and 21 — the Fibonacci sequence applied as multipliers.

What to watch

The 1.6 band has capped the top of several major cycles and the higher multiples mark progressively rarer extensions, so which band price is trading against says more about cycle position than the price itself does.
