Active Supply Skew
Cardano
A measure of how lopsided on-chain activity is between recently-moved (active) ADA supply and long-dormant supply.
Why it matters
It answers whether current transaction activity is dominated by coins that move frequently or is drawing on supply that had been sitting still.
How it is built
Comparing the proportion of supply that has moved recently against the proportion that remains dormant, typically weighted by recency of last movement.
What to watch
A skew toward active supply suggests short-term trading dominance; a skew toward dormant supply waking up can signal long-term holders beginning to move coins, often a notable shift in market behavior.
