A measure of how quickly the aggregate acquisition price (cost basis) of the outstanding LINK supply is shifting over time.
Why it matters
It answers whether the average price at which the current supply was acquired is moving up or down, and how fast.
How it is built
Tracking the rate of change of the realized/cost-basis price of supply, derived from the on-chain value at which coins last moved.
What to watch
Fast upward velocity suggests recent high-price accumulation is dominating the cost basis; fast downward velocity suggests older, cheaper coins are re-entering circulation or new buying is happening at lower prices.
