BTC Cost per Transaction
Bitcoin
Total daily miner revenue divided by the number of transactions — what the whole network spends to secure one transaction.
Why it matters
It prices security per unit of settlement, which no fee series can express: this is the network's cost, not the user's payment.
How it is built
Miner revenue includes both the block subsidy and fees, so most of this figure is newly issued coin rather than anything a user paid. It is a cost-of-security ratio, not a fee.
What to watch
The distinction matters more than it looks. A user may pay a dollar in fees while the network spends a hundred dollars of subsidy and electricity confirming that same transaction. Every halving cuts the subsidy half away, so this line is the clearest measure of whether fee income is growing fast enough to replace it.
